Whenever there is a need for a "burned bridge", immediately following there is doubt. All of one's emotions are right at the surface. Anger, defiance, acceptance, fear...all are hot in one's head. I wanted to symbolize that with the flames that did not burn her, but sparked light not only in her mind, but in her eyes.
