From Peter Pan flying into the nursery window in London to Richard Mayhew minding the gap, I have always been fascinated with magic in very urban settings. There are so many stories to be told about a small hole-in-the-wall bookstore three blocks over or an abandoned factory rebuilding itself as a forest glen. I really enjoy illustrating tiny glimpses of this magic. I hope you use them and write the rest of their stories!
“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”
