Anne Bonny's Mantlepiece
It is common knowledge that Anne Bonny was a notorious female pirate whose fate has yet to be confirmed. Some say she was hanged and some say she escaped and moved on to live her life as a barkeep in Louisiana. No one knows for certain.
Neil Gaiman and Blackberry did a calendar of tales project and the March tale was about Anne Bonny. What if she had gone on to have a normal life of children and home? (I am not going to say more about it. Read it if you wish! ~smiles~)
When I read it, I imagined her mantelpiece. Trinkets and paintings sitting there reminding her of the past. This piece I imagined as a stained glass. The tabby has no respect, but we don't expect them to, do we?

"The autumn wind is a pirate. Blustering in from sea with a rollicking song he sweeps along swaggering boisterously. His face is weather beaten, he wears a hooded sash with a silver hat about his head. The autumn wind is a raider, pillaging just for fun."
