Heiresses of Russ
Sometimes if you have been very good and the stars align just right, you get to do a cover with a publisher that knows you do your best work if he just leaves you alone. This cover is one of those. I did this for Steve Berman at Lethe Press for a collection of short stories. I wanted to wind Vegas shady with film noir and tie it to the chair with poker cards. This for me was as much a chance to play as it was an assignment. I hope you see its charm as well.

"I was thinking about that dame upstairs, and the way she had looked at me, and I wanted to see her again, close, without that silly staircase between us."
