Island of the Bicycle Dancers - Portico Arts - Art Print by Elizabeth Legget
I had the opportunity to live in O'ahu for a year. I spent a lot of time wandering and simply enjoying the culture and the beauty.  30% of the population is Asian and that influence is an absolutely gorgeous addition to an already stunning place. One of the things that was new to me were murals were EVERYWHERE.  They were a strange brew of island/urban/Asian and they fascinated me.

This piece is a homage to that!
By the way, the title is a nod to a novel by the same name written by Jiro Adachi in 2005.

"This city now doth, like a garment, wear the beauty of the morning; silent bare, ships, towers, domes, theatres and temples lie open unto the fields and to the sky; All bright and glittering in the smokeless air."
