2020 seemed to be the year that Light forgot for many of us, but we were wrong. It sneaked into the edges of phone calls and online meetings in the laughter of our friends. It melted across sunny balconies and backyards as we sheltered in place to protect others. It eased into hope when the vaccines were found.
This piece is about the hard won wisdom we gained. It is about setting aside discord even if we have to remind ourselves to do so many, many times a day. It is about saying no to our darker thoughts, but wearily accepting their presence is a natural by-product of this moment in time. This piece is my 2020 Muse piece. May she bring Light to your world as well.
"I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars."
- Og Mandino
